Advanced Skin Analysis with EIS and AI
The Nevisense platform is a unique, non-invasive solution combining Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and AI to provide in-depth skin analysis. Currently, Nevisense addresses three main dermatological areas: melanoma detection, keratinocyte cancer, and skin barrier assessment. It enhances diagnostic accuracy, disease monitoring, and prediction in dermatology.

The platform Nevisense utilize electrical impedance measurements to provide objective insights into cellular structure, size, and orientation—data not accessible through visual skin assessment methods.

Nevisense: Advanced Skin Cancer Detection
Nevisense is a medical device with regulatory approval for detection of skin cancer, but can also be used for barrier research.

The system comprises a control unit, a probe, and disposable electrodes. It gathers 700 data points per measurement at frequencies between 1 kHz to 2.5 MHz, providing precise and reliable analysis.
The 12-inch touchscreen control unit processes the impedance signals and displays results at point-of-care, enabling clinicians to make well informed decisions. Nevisense is ideal for both skin cancer detection and clinical research on skin barrier function.

Microinvasive electrode

SciBase’s proprietary disposable electrodes allow the electrical signals to penetrate the stratum corneum for optimal contact with the underlying skin. Each electrode features 5 gold-plated bars, each equipped with 45 microinvasive pins that transmit and receive electrical signals. These electrodes ensure comprehensive measurement across 4 depths and 10 permutations.
Nevisense Dashboard
The Nevisense Dashboard is a web-based tool designed for the visualization and analysis of measurements from Nevisense and Nevisense Go. Users can export measurement data and review parameters such as magnitude, phase shift, and barrier function indicators. The dashboard also supports aggregate comparisons and data exports for further analysis in Excel.
